Strengths
The Mega Rats have quietly built an impressive supporting cast around Acuña. Sal Stewart has been the team's best player through the early weeks, posting numbers that would be the headliner on most other rosters. Yandy Diaz is hitting at an elite level, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Dylan Cease, and Ranger Suarez give the Rats three legitimate rotation arms with real upside. When Acuña eventually gets going — and he will — this roster has the depth to become genuinely dangerous.
Weaknesses
Ronald Acuña Jr. has been a disappointment through the first month, posting modest numbers far below what this roster needs from its anchor. Garrett Crochet, another prized rotation piece, has underperformed his billing. The Mega Rats have just enough depth to stay around .500 when the stars aren't clicking, but the volatility that defines this franchise has already shown up in 2026 — and without Acuña leading the charge, the ceiling on this team stalls out somewhere in the middle of the standings.
