Strengths
This team's depth is genuinely remarkable. Jordan Walker, CJ Abrams, Carlos Correa, Max Muncy, Riley Greene, and a deep outfield are all producing at high levels — the Emus are winning right now almost entirely without their superstar. When Shohei Ohtani returns to full two-way production, this roster becomes the most well-rounded in the league. Ben has also quietly assembled a bullpen that may be the deepest in the CBA, with Helsley, Erceg, Wrobleski, and Sewald all logging useful innings.
Weaknesses
Nick Lodolo and Spencer Schwellenbach — two starters this team was counting on — have both been zeros so far, leaving the back of the rotation vulnerable. Last year's name change from Shureburds to Emus was due to an emu sighting on the Delmarva Peninsula. This temporary name change ignited a six-game win streak, and so the Shore Boyz hoped they could ride this to different fortunes come playoff time. Unfortunately, a Shureburd can't change its feathers. 3rd place again!
